Winter can be really tough in the Midwest. Freezing temps and less daylight hours sometimes make hibernating in bed seem like the only (or at least the best) option. It is so easy to find things to do in the summer- fairs, festivals, concerts, laying on a beach, hiking, swimming, etc. But when winter comes around, suddenly it feels like Netflix is the only thing that exists. Today, I'm giving you some ideas of what you can do to defeat the cold-weather blues!
Go ice skating, sledding, or whatever your preferred method of cold-weather activity is
Take a walk in the snow
Participate in a soup exchange
Start a book club
Visit a local museum
Send handwritten letters
Host a Winter Olympics watch party
Build a blanket fort
Clean out your closet
Master a favorite card game
Look through (and organize) old photos
Wander through your local library (say it with me: having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!)
Make your own hot chocolate
